Preservation Society of Ellicott’s Hill

Charter Purpose

The purpose of the Preservation Society of Ellicott’s Hill as stated in its charter is:

To promote and encourage interest in buildings and sites of historic significance; To acquire by purchase, gift, device or otherwise, and to hold the title to, and or custody and control of historically and/or architecturally significant buildings and sites to make them available for public viewing and to collect for such public viewing; To restore and maintain such buildings and sites; To collect and preserve records, relics, and other things of historical interest and display them to the public; To foster and promote public knowledge of and interest in local and national history.
